Evolution from Craftsmanship to Specialized Excellence
Novinger’s Inc. traces its roots back to 1928 when James Dewalt Novinger (1894 to 1980) founded the company in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Initially centered around woodworking and the application of wooden lath for plastering, the company adapted to changing times, transitioning to hanging and finishing drywall as the demand for traditional plastering waned.
From our humble beginnings, the Novinger’s Inc. trajectory changed when we ventured into bidding on larger commercial projects, expanding our expertise to meet regional demands. The small plastering business transformed into a diverse specialty contractor, a testament to the adaptability and commitment to quality of our leadership and team.
While our founder, James Dewalt Novinger, may not have envisioned the comprehensive subcontracting business we’d become, he would undoubtedly take pride in seeing how his commitment to quality has shaped the success of the company, now a legacy.
Today, under the leadership of President James David Novinger, the grandson of the founder, Novinger’s Inc. continues its legacy.
